How To Be COVID-19 Vaccinated In Just 15 Minutes

My appointment was at 11.30am. I arrived at Dewan Suarah Kota Samarahan at 10am &, by 10.15am, I was already vaccinated. Everything was organized & very professional. I never felt uncomfortable & was very confident with the way that things were run.

What I needed:
(1) My IC
(2) Smartphone with MySejahtera app installed & logged in
(3) a pen

Firstly, I checked in with the MySejahtera app with one of the many QR codes plastered all over the entrance area. Next, there was a short wait to present my IC, have my attendance taken & be given a consent form to fill.

Once the form was signed & having consented to be vaccinated, I was moved into the hall for a short wait to be entered into the system. I presented my IC & the signed consent form. Then, I scanned a QR code with the MySejahtera app & was asked a few questions like my name & profession to confirm my identity/attendance.

Later, I was waiting to be vaccinated. Inside the fully-enclosed & private booths, I scanned another QR code with the MySejahtera app to confirm that I had received the vaccine. The physician took my consent form, confirmed my name with me, & proceeded with the jab into my left arm, which took less than 10 seconds to administer. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick & seamless the entire process was.

I was given a copy of my consent form, moved on to another waiting area & gave the copy to another counter of volunteers. I had to wait 15 minutes just in case adverse symptoms manifested. Meanwhile, we were given a briefing about what to expect & other necessary information.

Alhamdulilah, I was fine so after my name was called, I collected my copy of my consent form with a vaccination reminder card stapled onto it. In & out in 30 minutes. Terbaik!

Was it painful? Yes. It was more painful than expected. My upper arm was extremely sore after the injection. Nonetheless, I still had full use of my arm. The pain subsided after 1 hour & I was completely fine after that. The chairs provided in the hall were cushioned & comfortable. The air conditioning was nice and cool too.

Overall, I had a very positive experience. I hope this sharing has allayed any doubts or fears you have about getting vaccinated. I never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome during my experience. I'm sure yours will be just as smooth, inshaallah.

What To Do When Your Unifi Service Suddenly Drops

After finally putting my kid to sleep, I was about to settle into the couch with my wife & stream a movie, when my Unifi fiber optic internet connection suddenly dropped. When it didn't come back after 1 hour, I realized that I had to do something. Considering that I pay my bills promptly every month, it must be a technical issue. Here's what I did to fix the problem. It look me less than 20 minutes. 1. First, I checked my modem (the white machine). I checked the lights on the modem. When the modem is functioning properly, lights will be on for POWER, PON, LAN1 & TEL1. If the red light for LOS lights up, call 100 to resolve the issue. Also, I made sure that all the wire connections were tight. 2. Next, I checked my router (the black machine). Again, I checked the lights. When the router is functioning properly, lights will be on for POWER, GLOBE, WIFI, LAN1. My POWER light was blinking, so that means that there was no internet connection. Again, I made sure th

How To Fix Logitech Options Not Loading

I use a Logitech K380 bluetooth keyboard at home & love it to bits. Very quiet & the tactile response is just perfect. Also, it's super small so easy to put away when I need to pile exam papers on my desk. Still, there's one small problem though... It is a compact keyboard so the multimedia buttons double as function keys. I use the function keys A LOT & it's really cumbersome for me to have to hold the "fn" button every time I want to use them. I.e., try pressing alt+fn+f4 with one hand. Thankfully, with the Logitech Options software, I can default to the function keys. A few months ago, I was chagrined to learn that my keyboard had spontaneously returned to factory settings. "No problem", I thought. "I'll just change the settings in Logitech Options." Only to find that the app wouldn't load on my Windows 10 machine, resulting in the blank window you see screen-captured above. "Let me try reinstalling." Uni

The Millennial Trains Project: A Transcontinental Conference On Tracks

This year, there are 2 journeys with 25 participants each: Change & Unity . Basically, the MTP is a whole new way to conference. Participants take part in talks & workshops from distinguished mentors inside a metallic retro train slowly moving across the US. We'll be able to pick the best minds in the US. Furthermore, the train will also make several stops along the way where participants will get the chance to learn from local leaders/organisations as well as run a personal project during those stopovers. Tip SPM Dari Pelajar-Pelajar Cemerlang Straight A+

This morning, I attended Kapten Talk 2.0: Student Edition. After feeding my baby & tucking him in for his late morning nap, I finally had time to look at my messages. Lo' & behold, a friend sent me a poster about a webinar by straight-A+ students. Interesting! I sheepishly looked at the date, what? TODAY! Heart racing, I quickly glanced at the time, 11 PG. Oh, petang. Wait a minute, MANA ADA 11 PETANG? PAGI LA BODO! My eyes darted to the upper right corner of the screen. 10.45AM! I quickly forwarded the poster + some ulasan to ALL my students' groups as well as to my school staff's chatgroup on WhatsApp. Feeling bad that I gave them so little notice, I knew I had to attend, take notes & share those notes with my students. Since I'm doing that, I might as well share it with everyone. The notes are written in my broken BM to include my lowest-performing students.
